This year, we decided to go with a traditional way of getting Christmas tree – almost – as it did not involve us hiking into vast forest but to a nearby small Christmas Tree farm complete with tree shaking, bagging, hot cider, and friendly people.

That beats buying tree at store and spending majority of trip in car rather than out.

[be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post after both videos for a little story]

“Exploring”

“Tree down”

(Sidenote: I stopped recording just before Citra went to front end of tree, all posed to help Dad carry it when he hoisted it up – darn!)

While Big Dad huffed and puffed the way back to front with a tree on his shoulder, Citra spotted a tree no taller than her.

She pointed at it, smiled and signed, “Want that.”

Sadly this tree was out of luck for two reasons, we already got one and secondly, this tree was completely orange as in dead.

We could take a pity on that tree as its nicely shaped and sized but it probably would be without its needles by the time it got to our home, disappointing Citra as its colouring was the why she wanted it.
