Where is Citra at?
Being with Citra everyday, it is easy to overlook the fact that you do not see all those new things she did, I will do my best.
Past halfway mark, at 7 months old:
- Her two bottom teeth is in (grew them in when shes 6 months old)
- Still sucking her middle two fingers of her left hand only
- Likes to stroke/hold her Mom’s hair while she drinks or in quiet mode, sometimes putting hair in her mouth along her fingers to suck
- Crawling, mainly military styled and sometimes on her knees but only for few steps
- Her main object to crawl toward, while laughing, was Carmel the family dog (she was surprisingly tolerant of Citra but does look at me desperately when she is becoming too much for her)
- Officially bored of Exerciser and Jumper at 6 months, prefer to be on her own on the floor
- Eating solids since 5 months old but beginning to want exactly what we are eating not what she is given
- Starting to pick up unknown remnants on carpet/floor and putting in her mouth, dear me!
- Sit back on her knees while looking in toys/books box, pulling out what she wanted
- Started waving “Hi/Bye” a little but not comprehending it fully yet
- Flick light switch off gleefully
- Will look to Dad when signed “Dad” or to Mom when signed “Mom”, also “Dog”, “Eat”, and of course, “Milk”, there are many more but we do not know if she understands fully just yet
- Lit up and laughs when we did a family hug
- Will crawl onto her mother’s laps when she wants her mom and that is that 🙂
- Of today, November 19, Tuesday, her crib bed has been lowered as she has been pulling up on rail and standing (to which her parents finally had it with putting it off in fear one day she would vault over it like her mother did when she was 7 months old)
Before you are drove to boredom from reading every little thing Citra did, it will stop here with short video of Citra practicing her crawling on the knees:
Happoween!
Halfway…
Where are we at with 6 months old Citra?
Lot to be said for those who were not around her 24/7, one of them was the food. She showed an interest at 4 months old so we have been slowly introducing her to some. Now she’s officially at table in highchair with food off our plates, sort of.
Here is a short video of her enjoying world of food:
(well, she’s bit distracted in that one while her dad frantically tried to catch any food she considered dropping to the floor, heh)
Cosy Cottage Days
We all went to cottage for the long weekend of Labour Day weekend, Citra was just few days shy of 5 months. Seemly nearly each post I made, Citra was at least one month older, ah!
Couples of our friends joined us for the weekend at cottage and beach – luckily the weather was reasonable and water was swimmable for small children including Citra. As usual, here are some pictures for you to fest your eyes on:
- Little D insisted on pulling wagon all by himself, big boy there!
- Happy Citra
- What is that…?
- That feel weird…
- Happy little D
- Little S and his dad
- Little D
- Ah, that is better…
- Kelly-Laings
- Jeep taking a dip
- Sisters, Little K & D
- Citra sharing playmat with little S
Quite Mouthful
Citra has been busy finding out what she can chomp on…
Edible items has also been introduced as she showed great interest in what we are having as you can see her trying to drink that cup.
(Forgive the mobile’s photo quality down below as we do not have that sparkling & shiny iPhone that many have)
- Apple
- Carrot
Tid-bits
We left on Friday midnight and drove almost non-stop in order to be in Maryland by Saturday as my sister’s wedding was to be on Sunday. Afterward, we had a week off so we took our time returning home, visited friends in Delaware and my family again on our way back. Citra handled it really well while her parents were tearing their hairs out from going wrong way several times, getting lost.
Here is tid-bits of Citra’s 1st long visit in United States:
- Who put me here?
- Entranced
- Hug(s) from Little L
- More hug?
- Busy feet :)
- What’s that?
- Ah there’s Dad..
- *giggles*
“I Love Me”
Citra has taken to sucking her two middle fingers as her favourite quiet time – soother has been introduced but she look at it as another toy and chew on it instead, ah well.
What, 4 months?
My, my, a month has passed since the last post – Citra is one busy girl.
She has learned to:
- roll back to her back,
- attempting at crawling – mostly kicking her legs and sticking her bum up in air while resting her head and arms,
- blow the air, yes, as in “blowing the candle out” kind of blow,
- and more.
Here is 4 months Citra!
